Official Description
Hear ye, hear ye! By royal order, your presence is requested at the annual Brown County Library Renaissance Faire. Experience magic and merriment as we travel back to the days of knights and dragons, pirates and princesses. Step back in time for a mix of history, fantasy, and arts.
View demonstrations of blacksmithing, weaving, or pottery making. Watch sword fighting and try your hand at battle with foam weapons. Learn how birds of prey were used for hunting and meet the birds after the presentation. Enjoy music performed by local harp and recorder musicians. Interact with reenactors from medieval and Renaissance eras. Be amazed at the magic show. Bring the kids for a scavenger hunt and crafts. Have your face painted or your fortune read, then partake of lunch from one of the food trucks (library policy does prohibit the serving of alcohol). Visit the vendor booths to find the perfect memento of your day. Revel in all this and more!
Period attire is encouraged for all, but please surrender your weapons before entering upon library grounds. All those who wish to join the festivity should gather on at the Weyers-Hilliard Branch Library. Bring coinage for the purchase of vendor wares, but no fee is necessary to enter the realm. Until that time, fare thee well!
