Official Description
The Beaufort pirate invasion is a reenactment of a historical event that happened right here when the dreaded Blackbeard was caught up in a battle to defend himself from Spanish privateers. This annual event highlights the towns history as it unfolds for a weekend spectacle featuring live music, historical encampments and displays, and a full on ships battle right there in the harbor.
