Happening on the first Saturday of June every year, Medieval Fayre features a number of exciting, interactive activities including archery, weapon throwing, unicorn rides, Historical European Martial Arts, Dungeons & Dragons, the famous Knight’s Quest scavenger hunt, fancy dress competitions, tavern quizzes, medieval games and LARPing battles just to name a few.
A range of entertainment is on offer from fire dancers to medieval musicians, stilt-walkers, up close magic and dancing.
No-one leaves empty-handed either. With over 100 stalls, featuring some of Johannesburg’s finest artists, crafters and traders there are unique and usual goodies for everyone.
With attention paid to specific and special details, The Magical Medieval Fayre has become a permanent fixture on the calendars of many.
Unlike anything seen in South Africa, Medieval (as its fondly known) brings magic to the masses and gives guests and small business owners a day out that is always one for the books.
