About
The Wonder Elixir of Life show is a classic, Renaissance-era 'medicine show' in the style of the Mountebanks of the Tudor Era and beyond. Drawing on many sources, and speaking in some of the smoothest fast-patter around, our characters extol the virtues of their 'amazing elixir' and continue to delight and entertain the audience in the meantime with small routines of 'fortune telling', magic, and humor.
The Wonder Elixir of Life is a 1/2 hour set of fast-talking and comedy, with a liberal dose of education and 'buyer beware' thrown in for good measure. Combining mountebanks, 'snake-oil' salesmen, and infomercial pitchmen, we can surprise and delight our audiences with humor and juxtaposition.
Featuring veteran performers Bob Hollister and Robyn Tisch Hollister, this traveling roadshow can add life, fun, and excitement to any Renaissance Faire, street festival, or Fringe Theatre event. With each member bringing more than 30 years of experience to this fast-paced, witty show; Wonder Elixir performs both on stage and 'in the lanes', with various routines for both locations.
